Turus Mara Original Linocut

Two block linocut entitled Turus Mara, which is Scottish Gaelic for a journey by sea.

The seas around the Isle of Mull are abundant with wildlife and interesting geological features including the Isle of Staffa and its famous Fingal's Cave. In this print I made a mosaic of just some of the flora, fauna and formations to be found around our coast.

Hand carved in traditional lino blocks and printed by hand using oil based inks and Japanese awagami paper. This is a limited edition of 50, hand-signed and numbered prints.

Image size is 30cm x 30cm plus an extra 2cm approx at the bottom where the signature and number appear. Paper size is larger than this with a generous margin around the edges.
